Accommodation

Groups up to 15 can sleep comfortably in the dojo on mattresses provided (BYO sleeping bag), and there are a few additional beds available in Makoto House, David & Hisae's home next to the dojo. There is also a Japanese 'tatami' mat room with 'hinokiburo' Japanese-style bath. The dojo is fully equipped with toilets, showers and an outdoor hot-tub.

Additional accommodation is available at Halcyon Heights B&B and Caravan Park next door: http://www.halcyonheights.co.nz and there are motels, backpacker-lodges, B&Bs and apartments available in Whitianga only 15 mins' drive from the dojo.

Meals
Groups may use the spacious Makoto House kitchen to do their own cooking, or meals can be provided by arrangement. Whitianga has a variety of excellent cafes and restaurants.
